5) ACTIVITY:
When Jesus called Lazarus out of the tomb, Lazarus was still wrapped up in his grave clothes. Today, you are going to do a hopping relay to remember the Bible story.
Split family into even teams (kids vs. parents, boys vs. girls etc..) When you say go, each team will work together to wrap an 8 ft long piece of ribbon or bandage or toilet paper (or anything you have on hand) around the arms and torso of one of their teammates, tucking in the end so it stays wrapped. Once the first person is fully wrapped, they will hop to the other side of the room and back. Once they are back, each team has to work together to unwrap them and wrap the next person. Whichever team gets all their people across the room and back first wins!
(If you have less than 4 people, race against the clock, trying to wrap, hop and then unwrap everyone in less than 3 minutes!)
Discuss: What was it like to be unwrapped and set free like Lazarus? How do you think he would’ve felt?
