Today we are talking about what it looks like when we are generous like Jesus. Please follow the lesson below:

Try to think of someone you think is a generous person. What makes them generous?

5) ACTIVITY:

As a family, ask the Holy Spirit to bring someone or a group of people to mind who you can be generous towards. Spend some time brainstorming ways you could put someone else ahead of yourselves, trusting that God is all you need and sharing his goodness with them.

Maybe it is an elderly couple on your block who don’t have anyone visiting them right now-draw some cards, buy some flowers and drop them on their doorstep (following  AHS protocols). Maybe you could spend some time together talking about how your family can give your time to learn about racial inequality in Canada and the change that needs to happen. Maybe you can save up money and buy some items for Hope Mission to put in activity kits for kids in need this summer (see list here.) Maybe it is thinking about someone who is feeling overwhelmed by hard things right now and need some encouragement-put together a meal or a care package that reminds them that they are so loved. Let’s spread generosity this week!
