Children’s Ministry

Children are valuable to our church body. We intentionally strive to convey this and that they have the ability to give and receive regardless of their age or capacity (Romans 12:4-5).

When Children’s Ministry is not possible the children stay with their parents in the sanctuary and we provide various quiet play activities. We include children in small group discussion and endeavor to listen well when they speak.

Calvary’s Children’s Ministry is designed to provide the opportunity for kids to grow in their relationship with God as well as their knowledge of God through creative, Bible-centric, relational, and engaging experiences including Bible stories and memorization, music, prayer, creativity/imagination, and age appropriate discussions. We believe children can receive directly from Him; they have the ability to respond to His Word, hear His voice, receive conviction, and grow spiritually.

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Ephesians 3:17-19

Our goal and prayer for Children’s Ministry at Calvary is this: that each child would be deeply rooted in God and that they would intimately know and experience how long, how high, and how deep the Father’s love is for them. With these verses in mind, we plan our teaching in accordance with the same pursuits as the whole Calvary community. We want to give our kids opportunity to:
